UHOM in the Community

Volunteers came together on Saturday, April 30th to join UHOM in assisting The City of Fitchburg with one of its Annual Ward Clean Up Days. We had a great turnout! A team of 20 volunteers showed up! The youngsters had a blast as they walked, talked, and laughed while cleaning up the city together. It was an absolutely beautiful day for some community service!

It was heartwarming to see several residents step out of their homes to say thank you to our volunteers. A couple of people asked to take photos of the group and commended them for their efforts. A local resident, who happened to be driving by, rolled down her window and gave the group a round of applause. Then she stopped to speak to President Chou about how to get involved with community service! We are so happy our volunteers are getting out there, making a difference, and inspiring others!

Together, the group collected over 2 dozen bags full of trash. It was a pretty successful morning of clean up for this crew! To our volunteers, thank you so much for participating! Volunteers like you genuinely change the world. And a special thanks to President Chou for setting a great example for our community and our youth!
